Department Head of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) invites applicants and nominations for the position of Head. KAIST was established by the government of Republic of Korea in 1971 as the nation’s first graduate school specializing in science and engineering education and research.
The Department currently has 23 faculty members, around 219 undergraduates and 228 graduate students. BS, MS, and PhD degrees are offered in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and all courses are taught in English. With world-class facilities and outstanding faculty and students, the Department is poised to expand to meet the growing needs of Chemical and Biological industry. The Department Head has responsibility for the administration of the academic programs and the effectiveness of teaching, research and service efforts of the department, as well as for expanding the funded research, grant and scholarship initiatives. Applicants should hold a PhD in chemical engineering or a related field, and possess academic or research credentials consistent with appointment to the rank of professor. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
